the health care system?
Great Basin HealthNet services are free.
It is NOT insurance. It is a non-profit
community service which links you to a network of
generous health care providers offering
significantly reduced fees for medical care. If
you are paying "out of Pocket" for your care
-- you can
save money and receive assistance from our team.
Once you register with Great Basin HealthNet, you and
your family are assigned to a medical home (family
physician) and if needed, we help you with specialty
care and other medical services often at tremendous
savings.

Great Basin HealthNet, a program managed by
Great Basin Primary Care Association, links
uninsured residents of Nevada to an affordable network of health
care providers and community resources. This program
assists community members with access to a coordinated and
efficient system of care at significantly
reduced fees from our generous network of providers.

Why does the community support
Great Basin HealthNet?
 You may think that the uninsured only
live in certain areas of Nevada, or that
we are not all impacted. Or even worse,
you may ask, “Why should I care?” We must
all care.
The harsh reality is
that the uninsured are our friends,
co-workers and neighbors and those who
are impacted by loss of jobs, illness,
or part-time jobs and employers who can
not afford to
offer medical insurance coverage.
Many uninsured
families and individuals find themselves with no
other way to get needed care except to visit the
over crowded emergency rooms when they are sick.
Great Basin HealthNet clients choose an affordable primary care home
where they receive comprehensive and quality health
care at a price they can afford. This allows
them to have preventative care and manage chronic
disease which saves money in their future and helps
to have a healthier life.

There are no fees for our
services. As medically uninsured, most
Great Basin HealthNet clients struggle to
participate in the cost of their
healthcare even at these reduced
rates. In order to continue assisting
our clients, grow the network of
providers and sustain the program,
we
need your help.

Today, the program has expanded to
include our Clark County School Project.
As we work
with the Clark County Partners Office and other
Clark County School Programs, our goal is to be
sure every uninsured student and their family
have access to affordable medical care. |

Jorge works
hard repairing electrical engines. He cannot afford
health insurance for his wife and three children.
Today
Jorge and his family can afford health care services,
thanks Great Basin HealthNet. The children
are now part of a free immunization program and
pediatric physicals offered to the community twice a
month. They all have primary care, medicines, dental
services and specialty services at a price they can
afford. Jorge says that Great Basin HealthNet
links his family with safe and affordable medical
services. This gives him the peace of mind that he
